Day 2: Branding Yourself - The Cleanup

Branding is seriously one of the most important steps to setting yourself apart!

There will always be other people around you selling the same or similar products, but ultimately by branding yourself you are giving people a reason to keep coming back to YOU. Your customers will be loyal if you are loyal to yourself first!

Ask yourself, what type or customer or recruit are you hoping to attract?  Even though we are all a team, you have to keep in mind that you HAVE to set yourself apart. Your personality is what makes you, YOU! People will be drawn to your reliability and your personality! So take a look at how branding yourself can take you to new levels!

By doing this, she was able to recruit 112 people in just 30 days in her company! Check it out!

One of the key points she talks about is social media cleanup! This is HUGE. If you want people to take you as a professional with your business, you need to treat your profile as a business page. Every post you post, should have value and revolve around your brand. For instance, my brand is I'm a mom, I'm a photographer. I love motivational and uplifting quotes and I love funny memes/gifs/videos. When I post about any of these things, people know it is me and they love to interact with me on these things! I also love bright colors and positive vibes! If I posted a graphic with black and white letters, people would not associate me with that post. It would feel in-authentic to me!

Clean up your social media page! Make your page public and hide certain posts. Hide old albums, delete things that don't really describe who you are! When you run into people on FB, you want them to be able to come to your profile and see who you are in about 15 seconds flat. You have about as much time as it takes them to scroll through your last 5 posts.

There have been numerous times people have told me "I was looking to join between you and a couple other people and I felt the best connection with you and your leadership". SET YOURSELF APART. Show your friends and family how you are a leader. How you know what you are doing. And how you can help them in their business, because your upline matters. You need to show people that you can be an amazing upline for them!

So what is a personal brand?

Think about how you, or others who are close to you would describe yourself.

Are you the go-getter?
Are you a makeup queen?
Are you funny?
Are you laid back?

Stop and think for a minute. Think about all of the amazing qualities that make up who you are. Try to identify at least 3-5 unique things about YOU that sets YOU apart. This could be qualities in your personality. This could be a hobby you enjoy. This could be a role you lead in your life. Step out of the box and get creative.

Got them?

Those are now your brand! Use these elements in your posts, video and marketing materials!

Take a look at my branding board.

Most importantly, remember that you do YOU better than anyone else! Don't try to be something that you are not. Don't fall into the comparison trap and judge yourself based on where everyone else is at and who everyone else has become. Your customers want YOU, and darling, YOU are FABULOUS.

Your brand should be forever evolving! It isn't something that you are stuck with! If in the next year you start hating the color purple, evolve into what makes you YOU! Be honest and relatable and you will grow far and fast! And most of all carry yourself as a PROFESSIONAL.

(taken from HERE!)

A = Align your message with your audience in an authentic way. When you know what you know, you know how to convey it. When you are trying to sell something, it comes across as fake. Keep it real! The only way you can do this and have it successfully persuade your audience, is to be authentic and endorse only what you, yourself have experienced. People are smart and they can spot a con within seconds. Don't underestimate your target audience.

B = Believe in your products or services, and your ability to assist your target customer with any grievance. It is important to be accessible to your customer and ensure them that what you are offering is of quality. But remember, when your customer feels you are a person of quality, they won't have any problem believing that you represent is a quality product.

C = Communicate and connect in a consistent manner. Your audience wants to hear from you in a personable, direct way. Consistency implies a regular basis, but the key is setting the schedule in a way that your audience expects to hear from you. Make each piece of communication connect with your audience instead of a '"sales pitch" to buy your product.

Once you determine a business name, consider creating an email account to help keep all of your business communications separate & organized!

Remember, when choosing your business name, make sure to follow the social media tips. For instance, using Red Aspen in your name, you must have a unique name before Red Aspen. You can create a name like "Laci's Lovely Lashes" and then add Red Aspen® Independent Brand Ambassador #xxxxx to help identify what company you are with! Need help with branding?
